Human Resources Information System
Taylor's Education SDN BHD, Malaysia

Background and Client Objectives
Since its inception in 1969, Taylor's Education Group
(Taylor's) has undertaken the important task of developing
students into well-rounded, competitive and resilient contributors
with global perspectives to the development of Malaysia's economic
growth and prosperity. Consisting of Taylor's University and
Taylor's College, Taylor's has evolved into one of Malaysia's
oldest, most successful and reputable private education
institutions.
Taylor's was considering their future expansion and needed to
integrate any human resources solution with their learning and
talent management software, Cornerstone On Demand. This requirement
meant that specific integration would need to be built.
What We Did
Taylor's went out to market for a Human Resources Information
System (HRIS) to cater for their future expansion. Talent2 was
invited to participate in a Request for Proposal after an initial
high-level presentation on the capabilities of Talent2's
HRIS.
Taylor's shortlisted two solutions and Talent2 won. This was based
on Talent2's experience across the areas of health, environment and
safety and education sector strength in Australia and New Zealand.
Not to mention Talent2's comparable functionality at a fraction of
the cost. Taylor's was the first Asian University to sign with
Talent2.
The feedback from Taylor's was that Talent2 was the most
comprehensive, professional and best presented amongst the vendors
evaluated. They also noted that the demonstration of the HRIS
catered to what Taylor's wanted to see, not what Talent2 wanted to
show.
In working with Taylor's, Talent2 also developed an e-expense
claim functionality to be rolled into the core product as standard
functionality. The next phase of the implementation will
cover several additional HRIS modules, such as Remuneration
Planning, Key Performance Investigator, Discoverer Training and Web
Self Service.
The Results
The Talent2 HRIS provides Taylor's with more efficient reporting
as well as web enabled services such as e-payslip and richer
functionality overall. The nature of the system is also very well
suited to Taylor's expansion into the markets of Vietnam,
Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea and China.
