Productivity Improvements
Background and Client Objectives
The client is a major employer with in excess of 20,000 employees.
In order to make productivity improvements throughout the business
they had developed a range of talent related interventions to
improve internal leadership capability and support their
objective.
They also wanted a third party opinion; an outside organisation to
undertake a review of their current state and advise them on what
needed to change to position them for the future.
What We Did
They then approached Talent2 to undertake an HR review of their
business and assess their workforce strategy. Although Talent2 had
an existing relationship with the client, they were chosen for this
project based on proven experience and value for money.
As part of this project, Talent2 proposed an evidence based review
followed by a research component and advisory report.
Talent2's approach was to focus on the organisation's objectives
and review all inputs, processes, outputs and outcomes, to quickly
discover the weaknesses in HR frameworks. From this, Talent2 then
developed strategies to correct and support any areas of weakness,
and made recommendations to re-focus activity to improve the
delivery of the organisation's objectives.
The final advisory report highlighted Talent2's observations and
recommended a range of strategies and actions that, when combined,
deliver the required outcome.
The whole project was successfully delivered over four months.
The Results
The client now has a clear understanding of the strengths and
weaknesses of their current Human Resource activities and a well
documented blueprint to move them from where they are at present
into the future - a future aligned to achieving their productivity
gains.
