John Arrowsmith

John has worked in the career transition industry for over 12 years and has accumulated significant experience in Career Transition Services at all levels from CEO to blue collar workers. Having worked in commercial and human resource roles with a large top 100 ASX listed blue chip organisation resulted in John taking on the role of Group General Manager Human Resources for the organisation. During this time he developed a strong expertise that he applies today.

As Talent2's Practice Manager for Career Management since 2006, John takes responsibility for tailoring solutions for clients to help them manage downsizing or restructuring projects.   Some of his major career transition projects include:  South Pacific Tyres - complete closure of the tyre manufacturing plant plus support staff (400+ people); Amcor - managed a significant reduction in staff around Australia; Ericsson - project management and service delivery for over 90 people; and Coles Myer - over 300 people leaving on the same day around Australia.

Previously, John was the General Manager, Victoria of a career management firm.  In his time there John built up a strong team of professionals and oversaw the delivery of many large redundancy projects.

John holds a Bachelor of Business, Accounting major and a second major in Economics. John is also a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).
Outside of his work John enjoys taking time to travel, spending time with his family and concentrates on perfecting his golf swing.
