Decision Support Capability

The Talent2 HRIS provides three distinct Decision Support Capabilities: Standard Reporting, Workforce Reporting, and Key Performance Reporting. Each capability is discussed in further detail below.

Standard Reporting

The Talent2 HRIS provides many flexible electronic reporting options. There are over 200 standard reports available by functional area that can be produced in.txt, .pdf or .html format. All standard reports can also be emailed either to a group or individual or viewed on line. In addition to the standard reports the Talent2 HRIS provides three standard interfaces for data reporting and querying. The organisation charting capability has been discussed above.

Workforce Reporting

The Talent2 HRIS Workforce Reporting capability provides point in time reporting utilising Oracle Discoverer or other third party reporting tools, such as Crystal Impromptu or Business Objects.

The Workforce Reporting capability takes a data extract from the Talent2 HRIS and creates the necessary joins and integrity links for reporting. The tables and columns are renamed in an easy to understand terminology.

Oracle Discoverer provides rich ad hoc query capabilities including:

  • Wizard style report creation
  • Tabular (list and cross tab formats) and graphical reporting
  • Talent2 supplied business layer
  • Reporting storage and management including sharing and scheduling functions
  • Web enabled power user reporting interface (Discoverer Plus)
  • Web enabled report access (Discoverer Viewer)
  • Export to a range of formats including, .xls, .htm, .csv, .txt and .xml

A “starter pack” providing 26 standard reports, which can be used to copy and model organisation specific reports, is also provided.

Workforce Reporting Capability

 
 

Key Performance Reporting

The Key Performance Reporting capability of the Talent2 HRIS utilises baseline data to create multi-dimensional "cubes" of information presented in both tabular and graphic forms. This "drill down" capability enables the manager or analyst to view the ‘health’ of an organisation from a benchmarked people management perspective. Seven standard cubes are provided across the critical functional areas of:

  • Employee
  • Absence 
  • Payment 
  • Costing
  • Leave Liability
  • Incident
  • Injury  

The use of the Cognos Business Intelligence tools with the Key Performance Reporting cubes facilitates in-depth analysis and trend prediction.
